Hildebrando "Babam" Pinheiro 88 of Pawtucket passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 13, 2020. He was the husband of Telma (Baptista) Pinheiro for over 50 years.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde the son of the late Turibio and Leopodina (Azevedo) Pinheiro.
He lived in Pawtucket for many years.
Mr Pinheiro had been employed by the Merchant Marines for many years as a cook. He enjoyed traveling to his beloved Brava with his wife, and spending time with his family and many friends.
Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Kenneth, Robert and Brando of Pawtucket, a daughter, Brenda Alveraz of Pawtucket, 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings, Eulalia Pinheiro, Lourdes Pereira and husband Olimpio, and Ida Smith, her husband William, sister-in-law Maria Amador her husband Albertino and Milda Pinheiro, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predecessor by his sons, Joseph, Gilbert and Donald, and siblings Hilario Pinheiro, Sebastian Pinheiro, John Pinheiro, Esmeralda Caldas and Celina Almeida.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 17th from 10am until noon followed by a service at noon in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society. www.americancancersociety.org
